Art is the medium that brings out all of our emotions and my way to express this, is with the use of oil and or acrylic on mainly canvas. My goal as an artist, since 1977, has been to discover new ways to project the love and beauty of our Creator God with paint. I first form the painting in my minds eye and then I use squares and different layers mixed with the human form, flowers, birds and objects to complete the painting.
I have been disabled since 1990, with lupus, and I have gone through 20 surgeries but, this has not slowed me down in anyway, my painting production or my deep desire to produce new and dynamic ways to express my goal.
I have produced limited edition prints through my own art business, EGS Artworks. I have created murals for three churches and cover art for four cd's.
My painting signature EGS comes from the nickname my sister Kathryn gave me, EG for eagle and the S for Staley. The three lines through the letters represent the three crosses used at Christ's death.
